Fields of Interest
Experimental Aerodynamics and Aeroelasticity: experimental studies in wind tunnel on the aerodynamic and aeroelastic behaviour of bridge decks cross-sections and flutter derivatives identification; experimental studies on the interference between VIV and galloping of rectangular prisms.
Risk assessment in bridges subjected to aeroelastic phenomena.
CFD simulations: simulations of unsteady flow around elongated rectangular prisms (numerical bluff-body aerodynamics) and bridge deck sections.
Energy harvesting from fluttering bodies
